A brief overview of my work and style:
I started my artistic journey as an illustrator and gradually transitioned to canvas art and large-scale murals. My artistic inspiration is drawn from a blend of Australian nature, my Nordic roots, and the powerful faces of women in fashion. Having travelled extensively throughout Australia and capturing unique landscapes through photography, I find myself never running out of ideas or inspiration.
Despite facing challenges such as dyslexia, I believe that my artwork reflects both vibrancy and vulnerability. My neurodiversity has honed my ideation skills, empathy, entrepreneurial skills and a good sense of humour, which I infuse into my creations and work ethic.
In addition to my artistic pursuits, I hold a Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration from Torrens University. My ultimate goal is to merge my art style with design concepts to create captivating commercial spaces.
What excites me even more is the opportunity to learn and grow as an artist and designer. I am enthusiastic and open to learning from my peers, successful designers, and commercial firms, both in Brisbane and nationally and internationally, as I navigate this next stage of my creative life.
DYSTINCT Published an inspiring story about my journey and my work, available as a digital magazine including an audible version of the story, and proudly have had my story and art published in the DYSTINCT volume III Coffee Table book.

Mural Inspiration: A Journey Through Darwin, NT
Left to Right - A Tale of Heritage and Nature
The Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo: An Ode to My Mother, hello Mum!
This mural pays homage to the vibrant birdlife of Darwin, NT, where I draw inspiration from its rich biodiversity. The left side starts with the majestic Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo, a symbol of beauty and strength. This elegant bird is also a tribute to my mother, who, like the cockatoo, possesses fiery red hair, beauty and strength, and Scottish roots that trace back to the legendary Robert the Bruce.
Rainbow Honey Bee-Eater: Nod to My Father's Heritage
Moving along, we encounter the striking Rainbow Honey Bee-Eater, a symbol of fashion and vibrancy. This bird represents my father's side of the family, with a heritage that harks back to generations of seafarers from Norway who started their new life in New South Wales as the Christiansens.
Hooded Parrot: An Artistic Connection
In the mural's center, the Hooded Parrot takes center stage, its colours and elegance mirrored in the face of a fashion-forward woman. The bird's intricate lines and vibrant hues inspired the artistry of this central figure, creating a bridge between the natural world and human creativity.
Magnolia Maymuru and the Iconic Kookaburra: A Fusion of Culture and Nature
The final segment on the right captures the essence of international Australian model Magnolia Maymuru, an embodiment of grace and strength. She stands alongside the iconic kookaburra, a symbol of the Australian landscape. This section symbolizes the harmonious coexistence of nature and culture, showcasing the beauty of both.
By weaving together your family's heritage, the natural beauty of Darwin, and the allure of fashion, this mural creates a captivating narrative that celebrates the diversity of life and culture in Australia. Each segment tells a unique story, and together, they form a stunning and harmonious whole. Darwin has so much to offer, from rich history and culture, outdoor art galleries in a colourful city, amazing food and the wildest of wildlife the country has to offer, if you have not been yet, it's time. #visitNT #darwinNT #ntaustralia #streetart #australianart #muralart
Mural art not only engages with local, national and international tourists but is a great way to celebrate local communities and local stores, creating a fashionable and vibrant backdrop for photoshoots.

Artwork seen in the Traveller Magazine
Artwork seen in the Traveller Magazine, issue Parents Guide 2021

My Mural Art graces the pages of Australian Traveller Magazine, a poignant addition to the "A Parent's Guide to Travel" issue. Our family's journeys have woven a tapestry of adventure across Australia's diverse landscapes – road trips, snorkeling in enchanting beaches, scaling mountains, and embracing waterfalls. These experiences have nurtured a sense of adventure in our children and etched memories for a lifetime.
Travelling this stunning land has become a wellspring of creative inspiration, enriching my art with the hues of deserts, whispers of rainforests, and songs of oceans. This Mural Art encapsulates not just pigment on a canvas but a celebration of wanderlust and the boundless beauty that continues to inspire my artistic spirit.

Influenced by fashion illustration and my Nordic Roots (birth name Christensen) blended with Australian nature a vibrant image appears, bringing life to a dull and bare space.
