Artist and designer Emma Murphy draws inspiration from Australia’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife, blending a fashion-illustrative style with vibrant colours and themes of Viking warrior women. Fascinated by her Norwegian ancestors, who arrived (sadly)on a whaling ship and later formed a family of bullock teams in Wollongong, along with her Welsh and Scottish roots, Emma’s rich family history informs her unique perspective. Her travels across Australia—from the dry heat of the Pilbara and the lush green tropics of laid-back Darwin, to the crystal waters of Exmouth, the spiritual heart of Uluru, and the dream-like reefs of Queensland—fuel her creativity across art, décor, and interiors.
Emma has lived and created across the country, finding inspiration in both nature and tourism. Her creative journey has taken her from the red earth of the Pilbara in Western Australia to the tropical vibrancy of Darwin in the Northern Territory and the café-lined streets of Paddington in Brisbane. She now looks forward to bringing her art and creative services to the dynamic city of Townsville in Queensland
